Star Amethysta - Last Tuesday at 11:09 PM
It had been around a week since she last drank, needless to say that it had made her go and do something she'd never actually do while sober. Biting her lip nervously as she paced about her apartment, her ears dropped at the thought of her kissing Codec and not telling Takeshi. It had been eating her up on the inside. So, she finally made the choice, she was going to tell him.
A knock came to her door and her blood ran cold just a bit, physically trembling as she opened the door. "Takeshi, come on in." She said as she stepped to the side to allow him to come inside. "There's...something I need to tell you." She whispered out as they walked to her room, sitting down averting her eyes from him. "A-A week ago...I was in Wineport and I ran into Codec," Oh hell...she was nervous. "I had a few drinks and...flirted with him and then I-I...well he kissed me." She said finally and closed her eyes tightly. "I needed to tell you it wasn't right to keep it from you."
The young male had come to Mist again, to see Star as he always did. It was becoming like a ritual, he never deviated from time and day. Though, as she opened the door, he could tell something was wrong. She had a look about her, something of guilt, as she whispered to him, that they needed to talk. He could feel his heart sink, dreading the reason, but he nodded and followed quietly, lead to her room. Coming to sit on the bed, the male huffed lightly and watched her closely. She seemed so hesitant... What did she have on her mind? Managing to get the words out, Takeshi immediately frowned and seemed to growl as she mentioned being with Codec. He remembered what happened last time, how she'd gotten angry at him, how she took the elezen's hand and taunted him... Was she trying to provoke him again? Letting her continue, his silence was suddenly broken as she finished with a snarl, ears fallen against his skull. This.. sounded wrong, he'd known the sun-kissed Elezen better than that.. Codec had more dignity than that! He could smell bullshit...
"... I recall what you did last time you got drunk, Star. You're lying to me!" His arms crossed against his chest, claws digging into his arms in frustration, as he gave her a harsh glare. The male's blood was starting to warm up, but for now, he seemed under control. "You got pissed at me, and he saw it. He knew how jealous we were of each other. So why do you think I'd believe he'd openly defy me, taking what he knows is rightfully mine?" Without thinking, Takeshi looked aside to the pillows and snagged one, chucking it across the room in rage. "Tell me the truth!"
Star Amethysta - Last Tuesday at 11:38 PM
Star flinched slightly and felt herself freeze up slightly, before glaring at him. "Excuse me?" She said as she glared at him slightly. "I'm telling you the truth." She said standing up gripping her hands closed. "I drank to much I wanted to tell you that I'm sorry." She said as she began to turn away from him. "Calm down, I can't talk to you when your angry..." She said crossing her arms across her chest. She turned to him slightly. She honestly thought it was Codec that had kissed her, not the other way around. "I D-Don't belong to you..." She said feeling her face turned a dark red.
Kian - Last Tuesday at 11:55 PM
"Bullshit!" A stronger snarl was made, but he ushered himself calmer, afraid he was going to lose his grip. Part of him wanted to believe she wouldn't lie, but at the same time, it sounded so... backwards! Watching her turn, he growled lightly, trying to sort his mind out. How dare she... No, she was insisting she hadn't... made the move... Even with that, he was skeptical... Then she provoked him with another statement, replying to his question. Yes, now he understood, She needs to be put in her place... His growling picked up as he got to his feet and swiftly rushed at her, grabbing for her arm, forceful and fearless in his approach.
"Excuse ME--? How DARE you! You told me before that you submitted. What makes you think you can take it back?! After giving yourself to me, welcoming to be collared!! WELL, GUESS WHAT, STAR, I FUCKING FINISHED IT. You.. DONT, have a choice..." He snarled, and went into the bag at his side, pulling out a black leather collar, spoked with silver metal spikes and chains that would lay just upon her shoulders and neck... On the front, a Lock was still open, and not allowing her to move or squirm, he set the other end of the collar on the O-ring loop, and shut the lock forcefully, leaning close to Star's face with a smirk. "Allow me to remind you of your place.." In his hand, he was still holding a chain, and clapsed it to the O-ring, completing the connection of a leash...
Star Amethysta - Last Wednesday at 12:04 AM
Star looked up at him and felt a chill go down her back. "T-Takeshi..." She whispered as she felt her face flush a dark red, pulling at the chain and collar. "Calm down." She said again and gripped his arm, ears falling on her head. "I do have a say!" She said shifting in place, feeling herself licking her lips feeling aroused. "I don't have to do a fucking thing you a say." She said provoking him. "I'm telling you the truth...your just jealous I'm the one who kissed him."
Kian - Last Wednesday at 12:16 AM
Though she pulled, the material held up to the stress. Her request for him to calm down, both hands on his arm made him pull back with a sneer. She wanted to suck up, did she? Aand still fight back? He wouldn't accept that... Just as he managed to think of a reply, she cut his thoughts off with a terrible insult. she likely could have seen how his anger flared, expression contorting as he now beared his fangs like a beast. Despite his rage-filled expression, he felt terribly embarassed, blushing some, his blood was like fire now... But he found no words, nothing could make its way to his tongue, so he let her go and went to walk past her, wanting to leave. How could she insinuate such a thing? Didn't he convince her before that he'd let go of his feelings for her? A shame.. Maybe he really ought to go back to them and leave her, if they were going to keep going like this. Sure, sometimes it made for great encouragement to be loyal, but at the same time, it was so stressful and not worth fighting over.. "... i hate you..." He barely muttered, keeping his gaze down.
Star Amethysta - Last Wednesday at 12:29 AM
I hate you
.
She stood there and looked at him, her ears dropping low and she felt her heart beat picking up. "You...hate me..?" She asked him unbelieving. Her whole body went numb and she stepped back from him, blocking the door way. She dared to look up at him, her eyes fighting back tears. "I'm not lying to you..." She felt her voice crack slightly and slowly she tried to fight the lump in her throat. "But I'm...in love with you though...t-that's why I wanted to tell you what happened." Seven hells, this was so messed up it didn't make any sense to her. "I'm not going to move, you and I need to talk this out." Her eyes averted, ears as low as they would go. "I don't want to lose you to him." She finally admitted.
Kian - Last Wednesday at 12:44 AM
What made her stop him? She had stepped into the way, and he found himself tensing up, face raising as he clenched his jaw. Star was.. crying? Why? Insisting she wasn't lying, despite his scorn... She seemed so sure it wasn't her fault. He lifted his face to look down upon her, sneering. Confess as she may, he found himself wanting to grab her again and get her out of the way. She may say she loved him, but he couldn't believe she'd let them do that... Even after she'd sworn herself to him. Shaking his face, he bit the side of his lip and turned his face away. How could she say such things?! How dare she tie him down to this.. unhealthy, obsessive relationship? He took a step back, feeling his sanity starting to slip... Barely, his face lifted, his contorted expression eased slowly to blank, and he kept his eyes to the floor, sighing gradually. It was as if he was letting himself go with his breath... That familiar red mist began to manifest, flaring and swirling in the air about him. No, don't.. Don't let go! This isn't.. worth losing your mind over, Takeshi. Be strong and be patient.
". . . Doushite? Anata wa watashi no shi ni narudeshou... Watashi wa anata o kizutsuketaku arimasen..." ( どうして?あなたは私の死になるでしょう。。。私はあなたを傷つけたくありません。。。 -- Why? You will be the death of me. I don't want to hurt you...) A fang rested against his lip as he made sure to keep himself away, fists cletched...
Star Amethysta - Last Wednesday at 12:57 AM
Star stood in the door way and watched him slowly change. Why is this happening... She thought as she backed up from him. "Look..." She said putting her hands up. "Takeshi, please calm down." She asked him quietly as she closed her eyes tightly. "Why would I put it all on the table...put my search for Talian to the side, if I didn't mean what I said?" She asked him as she tilted her head down. "Damn it...I don't know what I need to do to calm you down...I'm sorry." She said as her voice wavered a bit. "I'm not...a bad person." She said before turning away and opening the door. "You have feelings for Codec, you've made that clear to me." She said to him, before she started to walk out of the bed room. "Your...jealousy is worse then mine." She said as she began to close the door.
Kian - Last Wednesday at 1:14 AM
He took her words liek a command, his gaze turned up, face lifting completely to see her. She was trying to calm him down, and he found himself attempting, in the least. His anger wanned a bit, as he tilted his face to the side by a few degrees. Reminding him of her previous plight, he found himself grimacing. No, she wasn't a bad person, but.. Wasn't he? Undesirable, not worth her time.. He was just about to move ofr her when she commented more. No! He reached out to try and take her arm again, gently, but, he heisitated, unable to bring himself to touch her without anger. He felt like he wanted to grip her harmfully... But he had to stop her! He had to prove he wasn't just this... obsessive monster! No, he was still loving! A guilty whine, nearly an outcry of sorrow was forced from him as he reached out again, taking her into his hold with desperity, pulling her back and wrapped his arms around her. "No, Star, please...! I.. I swear, if you leave...!" He wasn't sure what he'd threaten with. Suicide? Self harm? Danger to others? What could he say or do, to convince her to stay? He... couldn't think of anything, tears freely fell as he tried to hide his pain.
"I-I'll disappear, you'll never see me again. And neither will he! No one will! I promise, I'll go away forever... I can't let you love a monster..."
Star Amethysta - Last Wednesday at 1:22 AM
Star's ears fell and she closed her eyes tightly, pushing him away slowly. "This isn't...healthy. I want you to stay but, right now." She looked away from him and stepped back. "You...should go." She finally said, her voice wavering. "I finally said how I felt and you clearly don't know what you feel." She lifted a hand up to undo her collar. "I want us to be healthy. I don't want us to be like this." She was finally crying. "I don't want to break up...but for now, you need to go."
Kian - Last Wednesday at 1:41 AM
A-Ah...? What-- was that supposed to mean? He let her go, struggling to breathe to hold back his sobs, before shaking his face. He had to get the words out, even if he didn't know where they were. A hand rose to his neck, fidgetting with his own collar. "I.. know, Star... T-That's why I wanted to leave, so.. i could clear my mind and calm down..." The mist was gradually weakening, his eyes lifting ot meet her again. He hated to see her cry... It hurt him like a knife to the heart, and he didn't know what to do. Slowly, he approached her again, and unclipped the leash, taking something from his bag, a key... He went for the lock, and unhinged the mechanism. If she wanted to be free, she could go, despite how it'd hurt... He truly didin't want it, and he found himself clinging to the lock, fighting himself not to snap it back in place. Rather than hold onto it, he let his hand move to take one of hers, albiet he was shaking, raising her hand in his hold and took it with his other hand, so he now held it with both hands, and raised it to his lips, kissing the back of it, trying not to let his tears fall on it. A shuddering breath escaped, before he let his arms fall, still holding her hand, honey orbs glassy as they stared at the floor.
"I-- I'm sorry... I don't... How could you love a monster...?" His eyes closed, a futile attempt to stop the tears. They still fell, as he hissed. "... I love you.. too... i just..." Another shaking exhale was let go, and he rose his gaze, letting her hand go. "... I feel betrayed, hurt, and.. lost, and... I'm confused, angry, sad... and.. at a loss, for words.." He took a step back and wiped his eyes with his wrist, ears fallen. "... i can't force you to stay.. so, I'll go, and.. give you space..."
Star Amethysta - Last Wednesday at 1:51 AM
Star winced slightly and slowly lifted up her hands to touch his face. "You listen here." She said with trembling hands. "I love you, we need space." She began to loose control herself. "If I didn't want you to trust me...I wouldn't of told you what happened." She said as she began to pull away from him, tears in her eyes still. Pushing the collar he had taken off back in his hands, she slowly hugged him close. "We are still together...I don't want to break up. We just...need space." She whispered to him, and slowly began to pull away from him.
Kian - Last Wednesday at 2:09 AM
It was still painful to hear her say that, again, and again. she didn't have to reiterate it, he.. understood, though it hurt. He found himself choking on sobs as she held his face, letting it fall so he could try and relax. All these years he'd been alone, relying only on instict for survival... He was clueless, when it came to relationships and how to keep them. Boundries were like the horizon of the ocean on a foggy day.. Undeterminable, unknown... He let her place the collar in his hands, and he held it for a moment until she hugged him, to which, he grimaced and gasped, trying not to cry. This was like a break up! Space, Space she said! They needed space! The distance.. was going to kill him, he was sure of it... Either he'd die of a broken heart, or he'd lose himself in the Abyss... Likely, throw himself to his death, attack something he knew would hurt him.. And yet, he felt like welcoming it. No, that.. wasn't proper. He'd have to be patient... He barely nodded, and as she pulled away, he put the collar into his bag and moved for the door in silence. Not another word, stupid monster... You've done your damage, it's time you paid the consequence. Suffer, and wonder... Where did it all go wrong?
Opening the door, he stood for just a second, shaking terribly, fighting to keep himself together long enough to get away. He... had to, it was for the better... He left without anything, no fight, no fuss, no words. He closed the door behind him and swiftly made his way out of the Apartment complex, through the Topmast Lobby and out into the open air. Rather than remain, he wandered out beyond, slowly finding his way down the paths, looking to make it to the entrace of the Mists. He ought to isolate and wither away, right? That's what he deserved... It's all that had he'd been left to... Even the people he swore were his own kind, secretly hated him, and left him in this land to die... Spat on him, had tied him up and hoped he would rot or be eatten alive... It should have happened. He shouldn't have survived that night, that his tribe's males in waiting put their plot for his demise in motion. And yet, here he was, and over the years, his rage and unwillingness to trust had turned him into this monster... a beast without control, untamable... the one person he trusted to try to do so, he had to walk out on...
Takeshi was unable to continue, he'd made his way to a two part staircase and at the top of the first flight, he ploped into the corner and broke down sobbing, tearing his claws into the beaten choker and thrashed it aside with a scream of fury and sorrow. Getting that out, the male curled his knees against his chest and cried profusely, tears staining his clothes, choking him as he tried to breathe.
"Lost in damnation... I.. said, you'd be the reason I die... I wish, I had been wrong...!"
Star Amethysta - Last Wednesday at 2:17 AM
As soon as he left, she stood there for a moment and closed the door. Droplets soon found there way to her hand that was on the doorknob. She grimaced in pain and soon fell to her knees, finally breaking down. You didn't break up. NO, stop crying. She thought to herself as she gripped her chest and slightly hugged herself. First Talian dissappearing, and now she felt like she lost Takeshi for ever.
Kian - Last Wednesday at 2:41 AM
The next few moments felt like a thunderstorm, his broken breaths rumbled in his lungs, luke-warm breaths uneasily slipped out as he shuddered and swallowed, trying not to lose his ability to breathe. Thank goodness no one was around, cause, he would have looekd like a total wreck. But in time, he quieted gradually, weakening, his sobs lessened in frequency and force as the time passed. Before long, he found himself exhausted, tired, sleepy, weak, shaking.... All of his being was at a loss, he felt physically sick from crying, emotionally exhausted, and it was easy to see. What meant more was the fact that he soon staggered t o his feet, seeing ineasy as he swayed in place and staggered for a step or two, rubing his face, psuhing tears away as, in the back of his ind, he was starting a search... Where, or where could that sweet elezen man be...? Star inisted this was their fault, not hers, and thugh he didnt wishto believe it, he wanted to hear it himself. He waned to find Codec and approach them about the situation...
Codec - Last Wednesday at 10:29 PM
-: Lucky for Takeshi he wouldn't have to go far to find the elezen psuedo-paladin. In fact the Mists were his would be home, and Topmast had been where he'd rented an apartment for ages, and was slowly trying to move out of after discovering there was a home from a lost friend that was in need of ownership. Clad in his usual thick armor, black and silver molded in the Sharlyan style, a black shield upon his back, a black and gold sword at his hip. Blue hair, streaked here and there with silver hanging wildly about his visage, as eyes the shade of a summer's sky peered around while holding the box in his hand. Something felt off Something felt down right negative. His eyes shifted just in time to see Takeshi storming out of the Topmast apartments, tears in his eyes and looking less than pleased. "Hey! Takeshi! " The Do-ma-han ninjaki needed a friend right then and there, Codec could see that much, so why not him!? -d-
Kian - Last Wednesday at 10:40 PM
Ah..? That voice... How was it the man always showed up at the best of times? He stopped there, seeing Codec, he felt his blood turn cold... Without a thought, he approached, letting a sniffle out as he rubbed his eyes. "... Codec..." He let his eyes fall, hands trembling at his sides, as he tried to quiet his rushing mind. His darkside hadn't manifested yet, but the whispers beckoned... He could feel his sanity being tugged at. ".. Funny, that.. I'd find you here..."
Codec - Last Wednesday at 10:47 PM
-: Codec was a veteran as it were. For twelve solid years he'd been in a war. He'd trained with people whose very existence had been to an ancient fight. He wasn't dumb, and as oblivious as he occasionally seemed, he was accutely aware of when people weren't in sharp shape. In fact the elezen was able to spotting it pouring down Takeshi's frame. Could see it in the man's eyes. See it in the clenched fists. Empathy was his gift, and he nodded his head slowly. "Well, I was sleeping here..." He said with a little shrug, not sure what it would be like to have something that was more rooted. Safe. He almost sighed happily as he thought about getting a full nights sleep. His hands still held the box of his meager belongings, and motioned with his head toward the distance. "Care for a walk? My new place is over here, and you look like you could use a friend..."
Kian - Last Wednesday at 11:04 PM
. . . he used the word so freely... did they mean it? or was he just another soul looking to use him..? Takeshi pondered, then the demon within whispered, Wait... for the perfect chance... lead him on.... No, he couldn't.. He had to give them the benefit of the doubt, try to-- talk it out... What had truly happened? His drive for the truth, and concern for Codec, were the only things keeping him sane by this point. A shake of his face was made before he looked up to Codec with honey colored hues.
"I.. sure... Can't deny that..." He looked aside momentarily, before growling lightly.
"Lead... please, I.. need the distraction..."
Codec - Last Wednesday at 11:21 PM
-: There was noticing. There was much noticing. He gave the young miq'ote a once over and started in the direction of his own home. Box in hand, he didn't mind leading a step ahead of the purple-haired wonder. "So what ailes you Takeshi? You seemed so happy last time I saw you?" Last time, with Star. His mind turned thoughts of the red-head over, and he wondered if she had finally told him she loved him. OR perhaps that had been the case and Takeshi had told her he hadn't. A low frown crossed his lips, and Codec trudged on, carefully picking his steps forward. -d-
Kian - Last Wednesday at 11:43 PM
"Hm...? I.. Yeah, I... was..." He grimaced, sniffling again and wiped his face with one hand. Keep it under control... Behave, be good... "Just that, things seem to be falling apart so soon..." He let out a sigh now as he followed a couple steps behind, watching them like a hawk. He had to observe... He recalled their fighting style. He had to know how they ticked...
How they might react to his... own, betrayal.. yes, they... deserved, their judgement... don't feel like a monster, you're doing good...
"She... said something happened, and.. I was a damned fool, I didn't believe her. I'm so used to people lying to me, that.. I got mad. I didn't want ot hurt her, so.. I agreed to leave, and.. take a break.." His expression was starting to contort with anger. "Space, she said... We need space... No matter what I said.." He then shook his face and grunted. "I'll.. tell you more when we get you to your place.."
Codec - Last Wednesday at 11:52 PM
-: Something happened. Codec gave a glance over his shoulder toward Takeshi, just a brief one that showed a storm in the depths of his gaze. There was no trace of kindness there. No semblance of kind hearted Codec. Instead there was the roiling ocean admist a chaotic storm. There was shadow of a blade over a throat. Just for an instant, then it was gone. Gone and brilliant like the warm sun over head. A smile stretched across his lips, and Codec nodded. "I am sorry to hear that Takeshi, but if she needs space... then give her space; I am certain she will be eager to have you back at her side after a day or two apart. Distance and time makes the heart grow fonder..." His home just up ahead, Codec tucked the box into his side and moved to raise a hand to push it open, and invite Takeshi inside. "Come on in... its a little sparse, but I suppose its home for me now..." -d-
Kian - Yesterday at 12:12 AM
Ah, that look... he recognized it, their serenity melted away into something that spoke of discontent... They had thoughts that crashed like thunder, but before long, they were gone and he smiled again, consoling him. he.. really hoped they didnt' think anything of him. "I.. will, of course, it's just.. I don't know if I should..." He shrugged a bit, and in a moment, they stopped, approaching a home. He looked at Codec a moment before looking at the house, seeming pensive. "... That's, okay... Maybe I will be able to help you make things for it..." He moved to the door, but didn't move past Codec immediately. He looked to them again, his expression seemed worried, but he deigned to continue on, ignore the instinct that told him to let them go first for the fear of being hurt...
Codec - Yesterday at 12:21 AM
-: "You don't know if you should? Go back to her?" That caused a small spike of worry, and he sighed. "Truly, I think she cares for you Takeshi; you should go back to her after some time..." When Takeshi stopped at the door Codec walked in, set the box down in a corner, and then turned to face the miq'ote. "Once... not long before I came to Eoreza, I was in love; She was... loving her was like...." He paused and eased the shield from his back setting it closer to the box, and then reached for the belt that his sword hung from. A single motion and it too was free. "Like going out to a lake after the first good freeze... where the ice was strong but not yet solid... Where if you hold still you can feel it crack and splinter. Loving her was like the first few seconds of that sensation. Fear and excitement mingled... " He smiled thinking on it. "Anyways... she used to tell me that holding your tongue when you're angry is a sure fired way to water the seeds of your own despair... So out with it my friend, let loose your burdens and be free..." -d-
Kian - Yesterday at 12:47 AM
He said that, but, was it true...? Who could say... He likely would go back in time, but for now, he needed to get away... He let Codec pass, they seemed to have gotten the hint, and went inside, setting their box down. Then they turned to face him, and Takeshi stepped in, closing the door and watched with a light wonder. The Elezen deigned to share personal details... something the cat would cherish, adopt.. he'd remember, maybe twist it some day... Takeshi watched with slight interest as Codec put their weapons down with the box, continuing to speak. Suddenly, he felt sick... The whispers were getting louder.. No, don't... lose yourself, now...! He means well...
Out with it my friend, let lose your burdens and be free...
It was at that, that the cat's face fell, and he let out a long, but quiet, extrended exhale. "... it was.. never my desire, to entrust them to others..." He softly muttered, before approaching Codec, sniffling in sorrow, uneasily reaching for one of Codec's arms, taking it into both hands. "But you.. Why...?" The question rolled off in a shaking breath, his face still fallen. "... I.. I'm sorry, Codec.. I don't want to burden you... But I.. I'm so glad to have you..." Note, he didn't call them a friend. He wasn't zoning them out! There was no denying there was still feelings.. Star wasn't wrong in chiding him...
Codec - Yesterday at 12:57 AM
-: Codec held still for a second as he watched the man approach. A part of him was undoubtedly expecting a fight. Every muscle in his body was loose. Every instinct said be ready. "Trying to hold them yourself is how you end up in so much pain..." His arm was taken and Codec didn't fight it. Didn't raise a hand to push the other away. He in fact held his other hand by his side as Takeshi seemed on the verge of spilling but wasn't able. But you? Why? Codec raised a brow, and he nodded his head. "Well don't worry so much... it is not burden to listen to a friend... " He sighed gently and considered the details he already had, before exhaling evenly. "I shouldn't have kissed her; I had a little much to drink, and we were discussing what it was like to kiss you... and then I went for it..." A lie. A honest to goodness lie, with enough truth to build it up, to make it sound real and right. "I apologize, I had a bit too much to drink, I... I hope you can forgive me Takeshi.." -d-
Kian - Yesterday at 1:17 AM
There was a time of silence, as he listened. They wanted him to trust and let go of his worries, but... then they admitted what happened. Takeshi found himself shaking terribly, and his hold loosened, fingers tracing the armor's details. He... didn't know how to take this. Suddenly, he was stuck in this triangle... He felt so... sick... and yet, his mind knew what to say.. Well, what it wanted to say, but, he wouldn't let it out. Instead, he found himself gripping their arm tighter and hissed.
". . . W-Why...? Y-You-- F-Fucking--!" He whined hastefully, tensing terribly, letting his tears fall now. He couldn't hold them back, not with the amount that he had to lose... Just as he did, he shook his face a little and sighed strongly, letting it all go, remaining silent... Then after a second, the kitten procured a blade from his side with incredible speed, seeking to plunge it into Codec's shoulder, his expression wrought with rage, his Gold hues had begun to turn crimson, a sanguine mist manifested in the air about him, a sure sign of his descent into madness... And yet, in the very slightest, there was a look of regret; Like he was unwilling... There was a loss of control and he had some idea of it before he'd gone beserk...
"Oh, I forgive you... But you know, it's too late!!"
Codec - Yesterday at 1:27 AM
-: Codec had been prepared. In fact he had been quite ready for Takeshi to do something foolish. The look in the man's eyes had been there just as surely as the negative energy that had rolled down the mountainside of Takeshi's mind. Being prepared for it didn't make it feel any less like being punched in the gut. Better that the ninjaki attacked him rather than attack someone else. But he were stuck in Codec's home than out there getting himself in trouble. The storm shook up into his eyes, cold steel. A weapon in mind and body sharpened for a singular purpose. And yet, even as he watched Takeshi's muscles tense, move and slip with haste, Codec didn't move to deflect the blow, didn't move to block it, or attempt to stop it. Instead Codec's open palmed hand moved with his entire body, attempting to hit Takeshi in the chest even as the blade dug deep inbetween the folds of his armor, finding blood and bone of his left shoulder. Codec had the range, and bulk to follow his attack up with something a little more brutal. But that hadn't been the point. Once there was seperation, a grunt of pain followed, and he tilted his head. "It meant nothing... have you never kissed someone just because? If there is no emotion, its a simple pleasure like a sip of cold water after a long run... " Though he was turned to present his right side to Takeshi, keeping the blade jabbed wound away.
The smell of blood wafted to his nose, and the pseudo-paladin, fought his own internal battle. Enemies were meant to be brought low, Takeshi had harmed him and named himself an enemy... and the madness in his gaze was proof enough. Fighting his training, he offered up only. "I could prove it to you, just pucker up..." -d-

Why didn't they fight? It was no fun... Prey that didnt fight was no good... No good to feed on... Though the thougth crossed his mind, he found himself pushed back, a hit to his chest knocking some air out of his lungs, forcing the cat back. Maybe, to their surprise, Takeshi didn't continue his assault, instead, he staggered back to recover from the knock back and huffed, letting his face fall. They spoke like.. like taking someone he loved was... it was like abusing property, something that could be acceptable... A part of him wanted to tear them apart, but... then he was given words that made him tense up in shock. How the fuck was he SUPPOSED to take that? Fucking sickening... The cat made a low, discontent mrowling before the rage suddenly was replaced by confusion, and both hands raised to grip his skull. No more...! No, he needed-- wait... He looked up to see what had changed, and, he found.. Codec, hurt... Blood was fresh in the air, and it drove his senses crazy, making him want to fall again, but, Takeshi was quick to claw into his hair and turned his back, high-pitched whines and desperate noises continuously left his lungs. He'd snapped, hadn't he? Lost control? He'd been too exhausted to fight...? That proved true when he faltered and plopped onto the ground, grunting before breaking down sobbing. All of that anger he'd felt, all the pain and misery, now, he could finally let it out. >>
He hadn't meant for any of this... He hadn't meant to hurt anyone! He just... had pushed himself so far, never letting the pain go, holding grudges, ready to go against the world... It all kept piling up into this... weight, that he just couldnt' bear anymore. He'd become some vicious monster, ready to kill at any moment, any mispoken word or wrong doing provoked violent responses.. and he had no control, try as he might... Curling up some, he tried to get some words out, but he struggled, he was sobbing too hard, choking on his tears, gasping for air. He needed to breathe, but he couldn't remember how...
"I-- I'm sorry...! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry..." His hands moved further through his hair, before falling. "I didn't-- want to hurt you... I didn't want to hurt anyone...! I'm sorry..." He then paused, his gaze rose half way for a coupel seconds, before turning blank, and it fell again. "... i.. i'm a monster, this much i know... but I... i'm so tired..." He swayed a little side to side as he tried to keep his balance. "... i'm so.. tired... why hasn't... anyone, put me out of my misery, yet...? . . . clearly.. i... should not be saved... now, you see, why i said... i didn't want to return..."
Codec - Yesterday at 9:15 PM
-: Pain radiated from his shoulder, in a throbbing arc that the lack of adrenaline highlighted. He could feel it behind his eyes... He could feel the warm crimson dripping down his front, down his back and down his arm. He could feel it gathering up behind his gauntlet. The animal instinct wanted him to pull it free. To dislodge the weapon that stuck out from his left shoulder. A long while ago he might have. Sure it would have made it worse, but it would have dislodged the damnedable object that kept the majority of his blood inside. His lips curled into a bit of sneer at the sounds that Takeshi was making. That he was whining, and crying and tearing at his breast. He took a deep breath, grasped hold of the aether of the world, and began to channel it through his being and to hold it firmly as he started for Takeshi. He knelt as the man spoke, and reached out with his right hand to rest under Takeshi's chin and raise his gaze to look at him. There was annoyance to be certain, but there was no fury. "Stop being so melodramatic... Sure, its poor taste to stab a friend in his own home, but I'll get over it..." His lips curled into a smile, and blue eyes searched Takeshi's own. "You didn't want to, but you did... you apologized, its over... but you are no monster Takeshi." He leaned in breaking Takeshi's personal space even further so that only their eyes could be locked. "You are more than what they forged you into. You are free now, so you have to decide. Are you a monster? Are you a killer? Or are you more than that... tell me now Takeshi, for it is my sacred duty to slay monsters, if I thought you were a monster, you'd be a stain on this floor and then ash into the sea... If you want to grow, if you want to live and be and love then Takeshi you must choose and act..." -d-
Kian - Yesterday at 9:46 PM
They hadn't heard Codec's approach, and the hand that took hold of his jaw made him jolt a bit, as he seemed frightened, expecting some kind of punishment... But they were looking at him with intent... He found himself dazed, looking back to the Codec, trying to take in details, try to memorize, remind himself to remain calm.. Ah, but he couldn't, his heart fluttered painfully against its cage as he found his hands trembling. How could they forgive him so easily? How could it be so simple? He'd never known anyone to be so... gentle... so caring... One hand stayed at his chest, clutching the cloth looser now than he had been before, as the cat tried not to upset Codec further and listen. When they leaned closer, Takeshi couldn't hold back a shudder, he seemed to flinch and let a shaking breath go, but once that came to pass, he opened his eyes again, finding Codec terribly close.. The beating in his chest wanted to stop, skipping in excitement and fear, the kitten looked into Codec's eyes with wonder, quietly wishing to keep observing. There were things that he wished he could say... things he had to leave behind, for him and Star's sake... but he couldn't deny, there was chemistry...
Hesitantly, his hands found their way to Codec's breastplate, resting against him, perhaps, searching for something to hold onto. He was very, very careful not to injure them further... Though Codec demanded to know what his choice would be, how could he answer? Did he truly have that choice to begin with? The darkness had been swallowing him, corrupting his core being... Every day had become this mind-numbing struggle, but... he understood a little better, now. Most of all, as he looked deep into those ocean-like hues, lost in their beauty, a calm heat slowly began to build. Despite how his mind and heart questioned their words, he heard their truth, he now clung to it like a subtle light in the darkest of shadows...
". . . You know my answer, don't you...?" His gaze finally fell, only for a couple seconds before Takeshi leaned in on his knees, tail swishing side to side as he willingly wrapped his arms around Codec's lower chest, to hold them, and rubbed his cheek against theirs with a huff. A near silent purring began, but he was trying not to, he didn't want to annoy them anymore... There were no words on his mind anymore, only absolute dread, worry and excitement, as he let his face rest on their unharmed shoulder, a mewl barely let go as the cat-like male tried not to press himself against Codec, as badly as he wanted to submit.. He had to behave, and not push the boundry. He was already on thin ice...
Codec - Yesterday at 9:58 PM
-: Codec was baffled. Or rather he was surprised by the result of his words. He hadn't expected this. No, a part of him had been worred that the miq'ote might go off again and he'd need to crack him down low. Instead Takeshi said he knew his answer. He blinked as Takeshi rubbed his cheek against his face, and then rested his head on Codec's shoulder. Codec's hands hanging at his side reached up and patted Takeshi on the back of the head, before moving to stand back up, and step away from him. "I don't need to know your answer Takeshi, the question isn't one that I need answered. Its one you need to answer for yourself. " The spell Codec had started to channel started to burn at the tips of his fingers, and he reached his right hand up grasped hold of that dagger and grunted as he pulled it free releasing the spell just as he felt a fresh gush of blood staining the armor and the man beneath. The aether pulled from the world in an act of clemency cast itself over him in white light, knitting his flesh back together from the gaping wound Takeshi had inflicted. His head spun dizzy for a half of second, before the magic burned at his nostrils, burned through his body. Reminding him that it was not his aether to take, reminding him that healing himself with this worlds magics was a quick way of putting a target on his back, a quick way to remind the world that it had a flea on its back. Healing spells on him were accompanied by pain. He moved then to his box, sword and shield to drop the dagger there. "I wronged you Takeshi, now I think we're even, but I would still hear you forgive me..." -d-
Kian - Yesterday at 10:20 PM
Ooh, yay... The pat to his skull caused his purring to get louder. He was happy to have their comfort... It gave him the strength he needed emotionally to cope! To have someone pet him and remind him he was worth while, it made him happy. He could feel proud, if only for a moment. Noting Codec's movement, Takeshis' ears lifted on alert and he sat up, following their suite to stand up. He let them take a step back, and watched with concern. Their words reached, and he made sure to remember it.. Then, Codec casted a spell; Yes, he.. had sensed the movement of Aether, but, now, a great dispersion reached his senses, and, something triggered; fuck, he suddenly had a sharp migraine... He didn't even notice that he'd been splashed by blood, the scent worsened, but he hadn't registered the warmth. A hand raised to his skull as he let a small exhale go, face falling quite a bit. "... Of course... I forgive you..." He suddenly sounded distant, like he'd been stolen away... But he meant what he said, he just felt terribly sick.. Though he had shut his eyes, that semi-familiar sense returned, and the world about him began to take a new look, even through his eyelids, he could see the world about him in bright, vivid colors, streams of light and particles darted and flowed about, much like a river and drops of water that splashed about.. How could this happen again so soon? And why? He was trying to prepare himself for what would come next, the black out, the sickness... But he could never be ready. He couldn't anticipate when this would happen, having no understanding of this... curse, or, gift, as others called it... >>
His distant gaze hesitantly rose to see the other male in the room, and what he found left him astonished. He coudl see how the air moved near him, there was Aether, but... not Codec's, no, he had pulled from the world around him.. Was that why they had looked pained? it was at this realization that Takeshi gained a better understanding of the trigger: Imbalance, Surplus, misuse, intensity... It could still be a multitude of things, but now, he was sure his gift was most definitely linked to the Aether, what he could see wasn't spirits or odd delusions.. He wasn't crazy. This could only be what was known as the Echo, an innate gift granted by the Mother Crystal... But why him? He couldn't begin to comprehend, he suddenly lost his sight, feeling like he was torn asunder, his senses ripped from him as his breath left his lungs, though he tried to pseak and warn Codec, his tone was rhaspy. "echo..." Just that quickly, he'd turned sickly pale, and collapsed, his body giving out. Should Codec deign to pick the kitten up, they'd find he was developing a fever, starting a cold sweat. classic aether sickness, but Takeshi knew better... He'd tried to tell them what it was, but he hadn't had the strength, the black out had caught him by surprise... They'd be damned if they ever learned to control this skill, it could one day come damned useful... but right now, it was a terrible hinderance...
Codec - Yesterday at 10:46 PM
-: Codec had been turned to face his belongings as all of Takeshi's sickness came on. After being forgiven he was more or less trying to decide how best to get cleaned up, even as he peeled away the gauntlets on his hands, and the armor on his being. Which was right around the time that he heard the word echo. He turned, a brow raised. Takeshi looked green, and his face faulted. "Oh please don't puke in my new home Takeshi... truly you have to have better..." BAM. Which was the sound of Takeshi's body striking the wood floor, and concern flooded Codec. He moved swiftly, placing a finger at the miq'otes throat to feel for a pulse. Dropped his arms beneath the smaller man's body, and heaved it up and then over his shoulder as he moved for the door. No... he wasn't going to drop him in the grass or a bench for someone else to deal with... That was how sailors dealt with fallen and sick men, but not people with any decency. He was rushing, legs pumping as he made for the docks, every intention of getting to Limsa to get Takeshi seen by a doctor right away. -d-
Star Amethysta - Yesterday at 11:12 PM
She had to get out of the apartment, it was so cramped and it still had Takeshi's smell lingering in the room. As she walked down towards the docks to go to Limsa for dinner, she noticed Codec running with Takeshi over his shoulder. "Seven hells." she said with a sigh and ran to meet Codec half way. "What the hell happened!?" she asked looking from Codec, going into her bag to grab her globe, and looked up at him clear signs she had been crying. "Why is he bleeding so badly?" she asked her ears dropping low as she cast a healing spell on Takeshi. Clear worry was on her face and she tilted her head down as she put her globe on her back. "I told him what happened between us and he...wasn't happy. It got very toxic, very quickly." she turned away from Codec and gripped at her upper arm. "I want to fix what's happened to us and I know that space is what we need right now." she looked over her shoulder at Codec. "Let's go to Limsa, my apartment doesn't have enough room to heal him."
Codec - Yesterday at 11:28 PM
-: Without his gauntlets on, it was easy to see his hand was stained with tiny rivlets of blood. Takeshi was so still one might have thought he was dead, even as Codec suddenly turned when he heard someone call Seven hells. The truth of the matter was that Codec did not look very good in this instance. No... in fact he looked like he'd killed the man and was rushing to the ocean to drop his body into the cool waters for the surf to take him away, give him to the fishes and then bring him back some time in the future. For now blue eyes caught who it was that was asking. And the rather... calm tone she was taking as the spell leapt from her globe toward Takeshi's sleeping frame. When there was no immediate change, he blinked confused for a second as she spoke about their relationship of all things. The woman was daft. Daft and emotional.... "I..." He could barely say that much before he just kept on toward the dock in search of the boats, angry with himself for having been even momentarily distracted after his friend had passed the fuck out from absolutely nothing. When he hit the docks, he was careless as he jumped into the boat, its rocking hardly catching him by surprise. "If your coming get in, but we're going now.." He turned and motioned toward the ferryman. "If you can't manage to be fast I'll throw you overboard and row myself..." Though he was already setting Takeshi down, proving that there was no wound to be had... -d-
Star Amethysta - Yesterday at 11:37 PM
Star blinked a bit and quickly followed behind Codec, as she boarded the boat she glared away from him not really liking the tone he was using. She sat down next to Takeshi and looked up at Codec as the boat took off. Her ears dropped and she touched Takeshi on the head in worry. "This seems familiar..." she said gently and waited for them to get to Limsa.
Codec - Yesterday at 11:42 PM
-: Codec didn't mind the glare once they were going. WHether Star liked the tone or not, Codec had been concerned, his friend was exhibiting weird behavior after having just snapped. "Is he... one some sort of drug? He was going through quite the emotional swing..." He touched his cheek where Takeshi had rubbed his face against him. Heedless of the drying blood that brushed there. After a second he dipped his hand into the waves, washing the appendage clean. "He attacked me after... and then I got him to calm down but he passed the hell out..." He gave a look from the ocean toward Star. They had a ways to go before Limsa. "Are you... okay? I told him it was my fault that you kissed me by the by.. I hope that takes some heat off your shoulders..." -d-
Star Amethysta - Yesterday at 11:47 PM
"I'll be fine, just need a bit of time." she said rubbing her arm and looking up at him. "Wait, what?" she asked for a moment confused. "Weren't you the one who kissed me? Was I...wrong about that?" she asked quietly, her ears dropping.
Codec - Today at 12:02 AM
-: Codec almost laughed. Almost. Because the pseudo-paladin was still in a boat rowing for their friend's life toward Limsa. "Come now... I am many things but not the type to kiss my friends... whatever you are to him..." He licked his lips tasting the salt and the comfort there. "Besides, I think my Siren would flay me chin to cheek..." The thought alone brought a smile to his lips and he looked back toward Limsa as it drew ever closer. -d-
Star Amethysta - Today at 12:11 AM
Oh shit.
She bit her lip and looked away from him. "I...I honestly thought you did." she sounded astounded and unbelieving. "I'm sorry." Star said with a sigh and tilted her head upwards. "That's not like me at all, I just won't drink around people anymore." she said whiping her face and smiling at Codec meekly. "You're such a good person, sorry about all this drama." her ears twitched a bit, before looking down at Takeshi, who's head was now in her lap. "No, he's not. It's the Aether around him, It's called 'Aether sickness'."
Codec - Today at 12:23 AM
-: Codec shook his head. "don't apologize... its not necessary..." It sounded a lot like Drunk her. Though to be honest, a drunk person's actions were a sober persons thoughts weren't they? Codec focused on the distance. "No, it was more than just before this... he was lost in his own mind... " Codec went on with his thoughts. With what it was he had experienced in the past that might help give answers to the now. "Eh, believe it or not this drama is quite tame compared to my usual..." And by tame he meant signiciantly safer and with less world altering danger than he was used to. "I know what its likes when you love a steaming kettle... sometimes you burn your tongue..." -d-
Star Amethysta - Today at 12:32 AM
Star looked up at Codec blushing a bit. "Yeah, you're right and we both burned each other pretty bad this time around...but burns heal." she said gently lifting Takeshi's head off of her lap as they arrived at Limsa. "Do you want me to carry him? Are you okay?" she asked conserned.
Codec - Today at 12:36 AM
-: Codec handed gil toward the ferryman, bent down and less than gently lifted Takeshi and placed him over his shoulder be jumping onto the dock. "Oh... where Takeshi stabbed me? Eh... I'm healed up... just dirty..." He searched for a second to get his bearings before turning and making way for the arcanist's guilds hall. They had healers there, they always had someone who was throwing a spell or two about in hopes of impressing one another. Stupid jerks and their insistence that members had to be able to read and math at a fairly sophisticated level. They'd denied him thrice, and he really wanted one of those glowing... crab-uncles. "Thank you for asking....." He was moving rapidly for the arcanist hall, nearly bowling over people who insisted on not moving out of his way fast enough. -d-
Star Amethysta - Today at 12:47 AM
Star looked around the arcanist's guild as they entered, memories from her childhood coming back and all the hours she had spent reading books and summoning beasts. "You're welcome." she said gently to him as they finally found a healer to help them. She stopped as soon as they put him in a bed, her ears dropped a bit with worry as she looked over Takeshi. "I shouldn't be here." she said gently looking over him, smiling sadly. "It would go against what I just did, and we wouldn't get any better." sighing gently, moving to the side of the bed the healers weren't on, she took off her 'Allagan Choker of Casting,' the necklace she always wore. Placing it around Takeshi's neck, she stepped back and looked up at Codec. "I'll stay a bit longer just to make sure the sickness will pass."
Codec - Today at 12:52 AM
-: Once Codec set Takeshi down for the healers to take a look at, he was listening as Star said she should go. He heaved a sigh and leaned down to be nearly level with her. "Might i suggest taking time once he's back on his feet... for now stay... and remember these words well; you never have as much time as you think..." He patted her on the shoulder, rotated his shoulder as he felt a nagging pain and then turned and exited the room, heading for the Drowning Wench with a very specific hankering for alcohol. Goddesses bless him for the journey there, less some other disaster fall upon him. -d-
Star Amethysta - Today at 12:58 AM
Star smiled at him tiredly and sat in a chair next to Takeshi, resting her head on her arm. Codec had left and it was just the two of them, she sighed gently rubbing her eyes for a moment. "This is a hot mess, huh?" she asked Takeshi as if he'd answer her. Her ears dropped down a bit as she closed her eyes to rest a bit. "Feel better, my love. I'll be here until you wake up..." she said slowly falling asleep.

"I could prove it to you, just pucker up..." -d-
Kian - Yesterday at 1:45 AM
