Alexis had recently been properly introduced to Takeshi thanks to her wife A'vette, who was harboring the boy from the Imperials, whom he had recently escaped from. Alexis hopes to learn more about the young man A'vette considers a younger brother.

A knock came upon the apartment door. The young man within hadn't been expecting company, and was well underdressed, to be quite frank. Low riding shorts and no shirt were all that covered him, and when the rapping sounded at the door, he nearly jolted out of his skin, but he kept his composure and went to the bedroom to snatch up a sheer, fishnet tanktop. Something he'd fashioned himself, but it wasn't exactly a shirt... He just figured it'd be better than nothing. Rushing to the door, he opened it some to peek out, and, then opened it with a smile.
"Alexis! I-- wasn't ready for a visitor, but come in!" She'd definitely be able to see the ink that he brandished upon his skin, sheer black designs done in a tribal style, sharp waves and points curled together upon his left shoulder and arm, seeming to stretch beyond. Simple, but a powerful statement, in his opinion, a pride he clung to. Not many in this land had the luxury of 'Tattoo's, or Skin-writing, as he'd call it, and there was so much to that world... Takeshi was quick to move towards the dining room and pulled out a chair, before going to the kitchen. "Oi.. I was NOT ready, need food..."

"Aye, dinna' worry 'bout me, me lad. Rude of me to drop in unannounced I 'spose, so if'n the're yo be apologies bein' flung they'd best be mine!" Alex scratched the back of her head as she smiled warmly, chuckling a bit, and followed the lad inside. She eyed the ink upon the young man, and found herself staring at it, as if entranced a bit. Not in a creepy sense, but as one might admire a painting or a work of art. "So lad, did ya design that one yourself? Be ya and Artist? I mean I dinna think ya tattooed yourself, but I means did ya comes up with it? Its a mighty nice design if'n I was to offer me own two gil on it!" Alex seemed to not mind the young mans attire, as she herself was sporting a mere camisole and a pair of boots and a skirt. It revealed that she had a rather muscular, albeit scared physique. It was a warm day in Limsa after all. She noticed him seemingly scramble to fix something to eat. "Aye, tells ya wot, lemme fix ya summat, seein' as I was the one who dropped in unannounced. You 'ave a seat! Tell me 'bout yourself!" Alexis got up ans quickly trotted over to the youth, sporting a smile. "Wot kind a foods does ya like? I be married to Vette, so i best learn to cooks for the one she calls brother!"
Alexis was always one to try and make friends, not matter the circumstances or person. Hells, she found the best in everyone if she was able. And after what A'vette had told her, she felt Takeshi needed a friend. She had also herself been wanting to get to know him better, hearing his name whispered and discussed amongst her other friends, such as from the lips of Kallera, Kisumi, and Codec. Now was a good chance she thought, though in normal Alexis fashion, she'd forgot to call ahead. A'vette had Sofi for the Day, so Alex was alone in her visit.

What a warm personality... He found it hard to believe that the world was still full of good people, after the hell he endured. But it was getting easier... As he began to gather things, she asked him a question he never had before-- it caught him by surprise, as he paused and looked her way.
"I-- well, I had a tribe-mate do it for me. But yes, I designed all of my ink myself, and I do a lot of art aside from that..."
Though, she spoke again and told him that she should cook instead. Ah, that accent, it was hard for him at first, but he was grasping it pretty well now... The Limsan dialect was an odd one. Takeshi hesitantly set things down and looked to Alexis with a small bit of curiosity. "O-Okay..." That showed much, much more as she admitted she was the one married to A'vette. Ah, right, there was mention of that before, how could he forget? He barely managed a smile before chickening out and stepped back, not really wanting to sit, but stay out of the way...
"I-- am not terribly picky... But I prefer food originating from Othard, specifically, Doma... I... was born there, so..."
He paused, before tensing a little and looked back up to her for just a brief moment.
"But you can make whatever you like. I'll eat just about anything..."
'I best learn to cooks for the one she calls brother!', that thought replayed in his mind a few times, and his face fell some, his left hand rose to hold his right forearm, anxiety became evident in his expression as he looked aside, seemed he wasn't quite sure how to feel... Part of him was glad for new company, but the rest of him was screaming to get away, this was someone he didn't know well, he couldn't trust them... How dare he try to make new friends. How dare he have a life. What made him think he was worth the trouble? Damn it all...
". . . mmsorry..."

Alex smiled at the lad, never once breaking her bombastic and fantastic nature, though she did detect a bit of unease about him. She remembered that A'vette mentioned he was hiding from the Imperials. Mayhaps he was still recovering. Mayhaps he was simply shy. Either way, Alexis decided to continue to be his friend and show she had only good intentions.
"Tribe-mate, eh? So its a tribal thing. It gots to admit I dinna know me own tribes name. Me family moved to Limsa decades ago an' took a Hyurian name. I thinks it be wonderful though ya gots tribe wot has an art style and a history!" Alex spoke on, attempting to start a conversation when he mentioned Doman food. An idea struck her.
"Oi, I gots an idea i does! i dinna know much about Doman cookin', so why don't we works together and makes us a dinner, yeah? I'd love to learn more 'bout the foods of others! Means i could cook more meals for me darling baby girl!" Alexis smiled sweetly, almost invitingly, so show she meant only the best and truly wanted to get to know the lad better. She sensed a sort of hesitancy about him, but it was nothing a good old gesture of friendship, such as cooking a meal together, would not fix!
She never once broke her smile the entire time. Inviting, comforting, and motherly. Alexis projected all these qualities. She never once considered that her over the top personality might sometimes be a little too strong for some people. Well, it usually worked, right?

"I-- don't... share, such information with just anyone... I-It's... i.. i'm trying to protect my culture, i guess.." Oh, who was he kidding? If anything, he should share, teach more people! He opened his mouth to try and speak, but, nothing came, and he shut his eyes away and let his face fall completely. He must have sounded like a fool... Sure felt like one. Giving a moment's thought, he then managed to look her straight with an expression of uncertainty.
"... Sure, We.. we can make something together, j-just... give me a moment..." He didn't let her respond. Takeshi tucked away rather quickly into the bedroom and shut the door. He.. shouldn't feel threatened, but he did. This had become a sanctuary, a place he could feel safe... but he didn't feel safe with a stranger here. His every instinct told him to hide, but even though he'd been told better, he crawled into his bed and curled up into the sheets. It was a childish way of hiding, but it was all he could think to do, his anxiety had skyrocketed, and he couldn't bring himself to open up...
What happened to the courage he had before? Why was he back to being so... timid and afraid? Surely it wasn't trauma... was it? He found his mind wandering, remembering the beatings and abuse he received, it made him feel absolutely... useless. Like he was a waste of life. Nothing he'd ever do would make things okay. No one actually cared... An agitated growl slipped out of his lungs as he attempted to push back the negativity. He wanted to get better, he couldn't give into the madness! But he couldn't convince himself to get up and tackle this head on... The fear and anxiety was deep set, as though it was in his blood, every part of him had tensed up and refused to move. Even his breathing had turned jagged, as though he was anticipating... How could he think to get better if he couldn't overcome something simple like this?

Alex watched as the boy went into the bedroom and shut the door behind him. A frown came across the young woman's face as Takeshi disappeared. It was obvious he had a certain anxiety about him, likely from his time with the Imperials as their prisoners. She know he likely wasn't given the royal treatment. Alexis considered leaving, letting him be alone, but quickly decided that leaving was not the best course of action. She smiled to herself and looked around A'vette's kitchen. She wasn't a doctor but she was a cook and a mother. She took some time to make a kettle of sweet warm rolanberry tea. While it was boiling, she set about making a couple of simple yet appealing sandwiches. Dodo meat with a slice of lettuce and cheese and a pinch of salt and pepper to season the sandwich. It was a meal she often cooked for Sofi when she was upset or scared of something. Soon the kettle began to whistle loudly, announcing that the tea was ready for be seasoned. Once all this was set, she got a tray and walked up to the door, and pecked on it softly, the rapping gentle, not carrying a sense of demand or a sense of urgency.
"Takeshi, me lad, do ya mind if'n I was to come in? I made us a meal and some 'o' me famous rolanberry tea!" Alexis questioned sweetly. "But if'n ya want's to be left alone, I'll leave and ya can comes and see me if'n and when ya wants to."
Alexis awaited for and answer. She was smiling, hoping he would open the door, and see the smiling face of a friend.
