Sofi squealed excitedly, climbing on the bed to embrace her mother. Alexis let out a small grunt. Sofi gasped and immediately got off her, a look of slight fear in her eyes.
“I'm sorry Mommy.” Sofi was afraid in her excitement she'd hurt her mother.
“It's okay Diamond. I be glad...to see ya too.” Alex whispered, still weakened, and unable to move much, but she was regaining the energy enough to at least speak. She gave the little one a half smile and lay her head down, just as A'vette had ordered her too. A'vette, she always seemed to be there whenever Alexis was in trouble, ready to help her.
A'vette, one of her two best friends. Yet sometimes Alexis felt maybe A'vette meant more to her than that.
A'vette and Farfalla had gathered around Kallera, along with a conjurer. There seemed to be some kind of commotion. Alexis grew worried for Kallera, but she wasn't able to help given her current state, but she knew someone who could and loved to help others.
“Diamond, I be okay. Please...go 'an check on Alexis' friends..for 'er...okay sweetie? Alex spoke to Sofi in motherly tone.
Sofi hesitated, for a moment, fidgeting her hands and fingers together, but shortly nodded and smiled. Mommy was okay if she could tell her what to do! Sofi trotted over to the three adults. She saw them all trying to make Kallera put her bandaged arm down. That must be the problem! Sofi gently ad softly put her small hands on Kallera's bandaged arm. She shot this friend of her mothers a smile.
“Can I help? I can get you some water if you'd like!” Sofi asked politely to Kallera. She looked to the other adults around Kallera. “I can help A'vette! I want help just like you and mister..uh...” She looked to Farfalla. She never got his name!
The conjurer sighed, but gave sort of a half smile. Maybe the cheer and innocence of a child would help in some form. Long as she didn't get into anything, he was content to let her be. "Just be careful with her arm, okay little missy?
